Hypnobirthing
Hypnobirthing is a way of learning about the birthday process to help you and your partner to give birth in the way that is best for you, to empower you, give you knowledge and choices.
It is usually done by way of a class, from four to six classes with either you or both of you attending. You learn about positive language, the birthing process, hypnotherapy scripts that you can practice ( which are useful anyway)! , your rights, what to say to professionals, how to calmly say yes or no, up breathing, down breathing and so much more. It is an exciting time of change for you and you are at your most creative, growing new life.
You learn massage techniques, positive affirmations and hormone changes and how to use them for your benefit.
We do this with gentle humour and care. And if you do end up having that caesarean. ……. Then you can have a really good one.
The truth is that the calmer you are during labour and birth, the better it is for you and your baby and your muscles and pelvis will expand in just the right way for you.

Usually 5 or 6 sessions will suffice. It could be more or less depending on each individual or couple.
The combination of reflexology, hypnosis and information, together with helpful videos for you to watch will prepare you for your birth experience.
